Chicago Botanic Garden- July 2010

So we were going to do a picnic out in the burbs for this trip, but (due to a lot of rain the day before and the location of people who were meeting us) it worked out better to go to the city and visit the Chicago Botanic Garden! We picked up Lisa and met Barbara and her family there. Barbara took some lovely photos (which she posted on facebook) and I have copied the one of Lily and Lisa here (since I know Lisa checks this and not facebook!)



I'll be posting some more pics soon. We went to the Cincinnati Zoo and the Newport Aquarium last week!

July 2010 visit to Madison

This year I took (or had someone else take) 16 photos on my camera while in Madison. Compare that to last year when I took 232. There are a few reasons for this, but the one reason that actively kept me from taking pictures this year was the fact that Lily is a very mobile little monkey who likes to get into everything (from sticking her hand into the toilet bowl or dog dish so she can splash around to climbing up and down the stairs).

The dogs loved to follow her all over when she carried her snack cup because she would accidentally drop goldfish (and would sometimes feed them on purpose!)





I brought a baby pool- she had some mom-approved splashing fun with Ryan :)

June visit to Chicago

Lily and I went to Chicago in June for a visit with friends and family. We stayed at my Aunt & Uncle's place out in Hampshire. I put Lily in a sweatshirt because the basement was pretty cool for her warm weather pajamas. Lily's cousin Kally decided she wanted to wear a sweatshirt too!
So they started running around together in their little sweatshirts with their hoods up being silly :)

Then we went downtown to meet some friends at the lakefront. It was a beautiful day for a picnic :)

I kept Lily busy with her books when she wasn't being a little monkey and climbing in and out of her wagon!
She stole my glasses and Sarah helped her put them on :)

Then Lily posed with Ginger for a photo and decided to start playing with Ging's phone. She is skilled at downloading things, so I told Ging to watch her closely...
