Happy Mother's Day!

We made this video for Lily's Nana (my mom) for Mother's Day:

First Mother's Day

I had a great first Mother's Day. We walked to Tim Horton's this morning for breakfast, then we spent the day at home together. Lily gave me a beautiful amethyst pendant and matching earrings (her birthstone).

Lily wore 3 adorable outfits (she peed on the first two), and she ended up wearing the very first outfit ever purchased for her. It's a little lavender dress I bought right after I found out she was a girl (I'd seen it a few weeks before and had to go back for it). It says "J'adore Paris" and has pictures of the Eiffel Tower on it :)

Lily and I spent an hour on the webcam with Gigi (my Nana), we had a visit from Grandma Kathi (Chris's mom), and then made a video for Nana (my mom).

Daddy spent the day turning the back yard into a garden for us. We'll be growing tomatoes in no time!

(P.S. Yes, there is a scratch on Lily's nose. She had a little accident with her stroller this week, but she's healing nicely.)

Yesterday Lily and I went on a long hike with our friends Suzzi and Baby Molly. This was our 2nd hiking trip. Lily stayed awake for most of our hike this time- she slept the whole time on our last trip! We learned about many of Ohio's native wildflowers (Suzzi is a good teacher!), and I finally learned how to identify poison ivy (something all mommies should know).

Far too long!

I was just showing Lily's blog to a former student during my lunch, and I realized how long it has been since I updated this blog!
